Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
This policy explains what information Pileris collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it. The short version: we collect what we need to turn your idea into a launch plan, we don't sell your data, and your project stays yours.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up through Google, GitHub, or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from the provider you choose. We never see or store your password for those services.
Project information. Pileris works on the information you give it: your startup idea, weekly availability, target launch date, domain familiarity, and everything you create while using the product — roadmaps, phases, tasks, notes, daily check-ins, and logged decisions.
Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status, plan, and billing cycle, but your full card details never touch our servers — they go directly to Stripe.
Technical information. Like most services, we keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to operate, secure, and debug the service.
On this marketing site specifically, we store only your theme preference (light or dark) in your browser's local storage. We do not run advertising trackers.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the product: generating your roadmap, planning your days, forecasting your launch date, and flagging risks and decisions.
- To operate your account: authentication, subscription management, and support.
- To improve Pileris: understanding how features are used so we can make them better.
- To communicate with you: service updates, billing notices, and responses to your requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your project data for advertising.
3. AI processing
Pileris uses Anthropic's Claude models to generate roadmaps, evaluate progress, and produce suggestions. To do that, relevant parts of your project data (such as your idea description, tasks, and check-in notes) are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic acts as a processor for this data; we do not permit our AI providers to use your data to train their models.
4. Service providers
We share data only with the providers we need to run Pileris:
- Anthropic — AI processing for roadmap generation and progress evaluation.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Amazon Web Services (S3) — storage of files you upload, such as project logos.
- Google, GitHub, and Apple — sign-in, if you choose them as your login provider.
- Discord — if you connect a Discord integration, to send you the notifications you configure.
Each provider receives only what it needs to perform its function.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal and project data from our systems within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain records (for example, billing records).
Billing records (such as subscription and payment history) are retained for 7 years after your subscription ends, to meet our tax and legal recordkeeping obligations. We never store your full card details ourselves — Stripe does, under its own retention policy.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below and we'll respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and industry-standard infrastructure practices. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we treat your project data — your startup — with the care we'd want for our own.
8. Children
Pileris is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify you by email or in the product before the changes take effect.
